SafeLink: HIPAA – Employee Need to Know

Course Description

Health & Human services requires under the HIPAA Act that covered entities protect patient health information. A requirement of HIPAA is to inform workplace members of the established privacy and security measures in effect. Even though Covered Entities must train on their specific privacy and security policies and procedures, this course can assist with the basic training for workforce members. The Covered Entity should supplement this course with their specific privacy and security policies and procedures.

Requirements for Course Completion

Participants will view the half-hour video and complete a short quiz. Participants must correctly answer at least 80% of the quiz questions to receive credit. If a grade of at least 80% is not achieved, the quiz may be repeated two times.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive 0.5 hours of documented Regulatory Standards through the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC). Credit will automatically be submitted to NBC on your behalf.
