Series 1 e.max Diagnostic Waxing Technique
- Diagnostic waxing using the additive reductive technique
- Idealizing esthetics and function
- Determining extent of preparation needed to achieve goals
Series 1 videos follow a patient through all aspects of treatment with 6 e.max HT lithium disilicate restorations, both dental laboratory and clinical sections are included. If participants want to have this be a hands on exercise, models of this patient can be ordered from Ivoclar and you can practice the techniques presented in the video while you watch. This 45 minute video is the first in the series showing the additive-reductive technique of diagnostic waxing where changes in tooth position are tracked and we get some idea as to how much tooth structure needs to be prepared and where our margins need to be located to achieve the patients goals. This patient presents with spaces between teeth that require contour management to create a pleasing result. Smile design based on facial photographs is covered.
