Protecting Patients and Staff when Re-Opening The Dental Practice

NADL invites you to join Mary Bartlett and Gary Morgan, CDT, CQA/ASQ of SafeLink Consulting to review the COVID-19 safety concerns for dental practices.

As various mandates and recommendations related to dentistry are being lifted, dentists are beginning to question what steps need to be taken to resume operations and how to ensure a safe workplace for their employees as well as their patients.

While dental practices that were already complying with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standard should be practicing Standard Precautions for the protection against bloodborne pathogens, COVID-19 adds  airborne exposure risk that needs to be managed.

This webinar will review how to assess the hazards in the dental office that relate specifically to protection from COVID-19, how to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19, and provide recommendations for dentists to consider as they develop policies and procedures necessary to protect their employees and the patient.

Many dentists are turning to dental laboratories for this information due to the standard infection control practices already in place within the dental laboratory. The information provided in this webinar is critical for the dental practice and dental laboratories, and is an opportunity to serve as a resource. Dental laboratories are encouraged to invite their clients as well.
